Miller, Eugene

Eugene E. “Gene” Miller, 84, of Crestview, FL passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Gene was a native of Connecticut and was the third of five children born to the late Arthur Sr. and Lillian (Cross) Miller. He was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Marines Corp. He was a retired employee of the Aetna Life and Casualty Company in Hartford with 30+ years of service. He was a member of the Freemasons; and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville, CT. He and his wife, Jean, were also members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Conway, SC while living in the area for 10+ years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Caronna and Judith Grayson; one brother, Marvin Miller; and one son, Keith Andrew.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean Mary

Miller of Crestview, FL; a brother, Arthur Miller, Jr. of Texas; and children, Dawn Miller (Dennis) of Crestview, FL; Karen Damon of Winsted, CT; Pamela Lescell (Dreux) of Somers, CT; Hollis Erskine (Nadine) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Keith Coons (Kimberly) of East Windsor, CT. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Gene will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at a future date to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or other Veteran charities of your choice.
