Ryszard W. Pas, 61, of West Hartford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday,

December 30, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years Danuta Pas, his son Adam, daughter-in-law Chesleigh, and grandson Lukas, his son Chris and daughter-in-law Chelsea, mother Anna, sister Grazyna Kijas and brother-inlaw Zenon, and many additional family members and friends in the United States and Poland. Ryszard was born March 30, 1960, in Zawiercie, Poland, the son of Anna and Wit Pas. From a young age, he was passionate about cars and fixing them. He graduated from a technical school in Poland as an automobile mechanic, working for several years in an auto garage before immigrating to the U.S. in October of 1981. His journey included a five month stay in Trattenbach, a village in Austria, before arriving in the U.S. on March 30, 1982, with his parents. Within a year of moving to the U.S., he met and married his wife, Danuta (née Lis) on November 5, 1983, in Hartford, CT at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church. Ryszard was a charismatic, gregarious, and caring person who would help anyone at any hour of the day or night. He enjoyed vacationing in Old Orchard Beach, Maine each year for the 4th of July and occasionally visiting Lake George in upstate New York with his family. He pursued his lifelong passion and hobby of repairing cars. He was a dedicated employee for the past 20 years at FMI Chemical in E. Hartford, CT. Ryszard will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave. in Newington, CT. His funeral service will begin on Friday, January 8th, at 9 a.m. at Newington Memorial, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Hartford, CT. He will be laid to rest at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. To leave a sympathy message for the
