On December 30th 2021, Richard A. Haugh, 68, An amazing father, brother, son,

and friend left this world. Richard Alan Haugh, who was known to others as Ricky, Richy, Starch, and Archie, transitioned on to a better

place leaving his family and friends too soon. Richard was born on November 14, 1953 at Manchester Memorial Hospital to the late Russell Haugh Sr. and Margaret 'Swain" Haugh. Rich spent his childhood and early adulthood growing up in the town of East Hartford and eventually graduating from George J. Penney High School Class of 1972. After hearing all the stories over these past few days of his mischief and his frequency to skip class this seemed like "quite the feat". In 1981 and 1982, Rich became a father to his pride and joy, his two cherished sons, Gregory R., and Eric Haugh. Up until the moment he passed, Rich was the most genuine, caring, and dedicated father. He started his career as a Glastonbury Police Officer, and eventually settled into his true calling with the security field. He worked more than 15 years for Diebold and was the jack of all trades. After leaving Diebold in 2012, he started his own company called Richard Haugh Security. He loved working for his bank clients and developed many relationships with them for the rest of his life. Aside from his family and friends, he was quite proud of the house he built by himself where he raised his family on West Street in Bolton. As recently as Fathers Day 2021, Rich and his son Eric took one of their many restaurant trips to a pizza restaurant right past the Bolton house. The majority of the conversation that night was how proud he was of building it. Over the years, Rich took part in many organizations such as Hartford Harley Owners Group where he was named "Road Captain', He was passed president of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders as riding a motorcycle which was a passion he loved. He also was a proud member of the Washington L.O.L. Orange Lodge, Member of the Friendship Tuscan 145 in Manchester, CT, and also the Valley of Hartford Scottish Rite. A final passion Rich shared was his love of firearms to which he was an avid gun collector and enjoyed shooting on the range of the Glastonbury Elks with his son Gregory and numerous friends. For the last 20 plus years he resided in Manchester, CT and could be seen sitting on his porch almost daily with a glass of Evan Williams bourbon and a lit cigar in his mouth rain or shine. If you couldn't find him on the porch he was either at Highland Park market grocery store shopping or Shady Glen eating breakfast. The birth of his two grandchildren, Evelyn and Connor Haugh, made him a proud grandfather. He loved his grandchildren endlessly and he will be missed greatly by them. Aside from his grandchildren, Rich leaves behind his son Gregory Haugh and partner Kacey Levasseur of Hebron, CT, Eric Haugh and partner Kaitlin Douglas of East Hartford, CT, brother and sister in law Russell Jr. and Jane Haugh of Coventry, CT, and Aunt Patricia Zatkowski of Manchester, CT. He also leaves numerous extended family members and friends, as well as friends who were like family including Sal Cesare and Bob Mcdonald. We know Rich will keep the party going in heaven until we meet again.

Calling Hours will be held at Holme-watkins 400 Main St Manchester, CT 06040, Thursday January 6, 2022

5-7pm. Burial will be private.
