Richard Tolve Baldini died on January 20, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. He was the 2nd child and son of Alfred W. and Rena F. Baldini, born in Hartford on February 9, 1946. The family lived on Magnolia Street in Hartford, moving to the new Laurel Park in Bloomfield in 1957, where his Dad was a contractor for the new homes. He attended St Joseph Cathedral School and graduated Bloomfield High School class 1965. He proudly served in the United States Army, 1966-1968, as member of FIFTH US ARMY 202d MP Co. He was Military Police and served in Vietnam, earning the Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal (1st award), and Sharpshoot­er Badge-rifle. Upon his discharge, he worked constructi­on with his father's company, roofing and siding homes in Connecticu­t. Retiring to work at the former Andy's Market in Simsbury. He was awarded a Quilt of Valor in 2019, hand quilted by Jean M from Andover CT, the Quilting Buddies #1003, which he treasured.

Richard is predecease­d by his parents Alfred W and Rena (Tolve) Baldini, and his older brother Alfred W Baldini, Jr., Richard is survived by nephews Justin M Baldini (Norma) and their children Makayla and Jackson

of West Suffield, Alfred G Baldini of Suffield, Damon T Baldini (Kimberly) and their children Keegan and

Hudson of Alexandria VA. His niece Julia A Baldini of Philadelph­ia PA, his Aunt, Hilda Tolve of Enfield. His

cousins Carla (John) Osborne and their sons Brett and Blake, of Encinitas CA and Albert (Dany) Baldini of Lalonde Les Maures, France, his sister in law, Pamela (Muzzulin) Baldini of Suffield, and Bob Maulucci, a solid friend since their days at Bloomfield High. Thank you to the Rocky Hill Veterans Home staff and residents. You were his family. Rich's last thoughts were to return to Rocky Hill and of course a Pepsi. Donations may
