Jane Thelma (Szostecki) Chiarillo, 99, of Bristol, CT, beloved widow of Enrico Chiarillo, Sr., died in her sleep on Friday January 21, 2022, at West Hartford Health & Rehab Center. She was born in Monmouth, Maine on September 22, 1922, and was the eldest child of Lucas and Stella Szostecki. Jane is survived by her loving family, daughter Sharon Coker (Jack Coker, Jr) of Florida, grand-daughter Jennifer Stein (Ben) and great-grandchild­ren Maxwell and Lillian Jane. She is also survived

by her loving son, Enrico Chiarillo, Jr. of Farmington, and grand-sons Nicholas and Eric Chiarillo. Jane also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews, and special friends. Jane grew up in New Britain, CT and later moved to Bristol when she married Enrico, the love of her life, on November 12, 1949. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church for over 65 years. Jane was devoted to her family and spent much of her

time cooking and baking. She made traditiona­l polish dishes such as pierogis and dessert breads. Pies were

her specialty and were a welcome gift at any family gathering. She also enjoyed planning annual summer vacations to different places, making these road-trips quite memorable. Other trips she especially loved were

to Las Vegas and the anniversar­y cruise she took to the islands with her husband. She loved to travel and was always ready to pack her suitcase for the next trip! Jane's hobbies included sewing and tatting. She enjoyed watching golf and tennis on TV. She loved taking care of her house plants, and she had a soft heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. Jane loved Broadway musicals and opera. She also loved listening to such musical artists as Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bochelli

and Josh Groban. A funeral mass will be held Friday, Jan. 28, at 10am at St. Anthony's Church, 111 School

St., Bristol, CT. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8:30-9:30am at Dupont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Family and friends are invited to leave a condolence message by visiting www.dupontfune­ralhome. com
