Carleen Giannotti, 75, passed away on May 22, 2022, in Annapolis, MD. Born on

August 29, 1946 in Bristol, CT to the late Frank and Regina Gladowski, Carleen spent 43 years as an Annapolita­n. She received her undergradu­ate degree from the Nazareth College of Rochester, going on to receive graduate degrees from Central Connecticu­t State University and Loyola University. In her extensive career as an educator, she spent 20 years as a school teacher at St. Mary's Elementary School, and was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2003 by the Archdioces­e of Baltimore. Carleen was a proud Navy wife, involving herself in Naval Academy organizati­ons such as the Naval Academy Garden Club and Naval Academy Golf Associatio­n. In addition to gardening and golf, she had a love for boating and travel. She was a parishione­r at St. Mary's Parish in Annapolis. In addition to her parents, Carleen is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Gladd. She is survived by her husband, Louis Giannotti; her daughters, Louise (Bryan) Mckernan of Annapolis, MD and Courtney (Mark) Dupcak of Arnold, MD; four grandsons, Bryan Jr. and Jack Mckernan, and Drew and Ryan Dupcak; and two granddaugh­ters, Annabella Mckernan and Katelyn Dupcak. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Carleen's life on Friday, May 27 from 4-6 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 10:30 AM at St.
