Manchester’s Art in the Park will feature work from over 130 artists

Art in the Park, the 47th annual arts extravagan­za in Center Memorial Park in Manchester, is back after a two-year pandemic hiatus, with more than 130 artists participat­ing.

It will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free.

Artists will show and sell their original paintings, sculptures, photograph­s, jewelry, digital artworks, pottery, metalworks, fiber artworks and other pieces.

Musical acts will perform from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the park’s stage, including Manchester Town Troubadour Bill Ludwig, Bonnie Jacobson & Joe Gilbert Acoustic Duo, The Donaldson Drew Duo, Heather Mclarney, NINE NORTH, The Guinea Pigs, The WHISH Band and Tenaya Taylor.

The Manchester Lions Club will sponsor a rubber duck race to benefit local charities. People can sponsor a duck to win a prize.

There will be arts and crafts for kids as well as a caricature artist, a henna tattooist and three vendors offering face painting.

COVID-19 vaccinatio­ns — first and second doses and boosters — will be offered by the state Department of Public Health.
