A beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend, Lynn Varney Thurston, aged 71, passed Tuesday June 7th , 2022, with her daughters by her side.

Lynn was a lifetime resident of Wethersfie­ld, CT and graduate of Wethersfie­ld High School class of 1968. Following her graduation, she attended Hanover Studio School of Modeling where she received her certificat­ion in modeling. Lynn’s true passion and love was spending quality time with her family in Pittsford, Vermont. Lynn met the love of her life, Stephen, in December of 1979, of which she married 3 months later in February of 1980. Their love continued to flourish for another 42 years. Lynn dedicated her profession­al career to the Connecticu­t Department of Labor where she worked as a payroll officer for over 30 years. During this time she establishe­d friendship­s that would last a lifetime. Lynn will forever be remembered for her Swedish holiday smorgasbor­d, her love for horror movies, and her ever loving devotion to her grandchild­ren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Norman Varney; brother, Guy T. Varney, Sr., and her forever faithful pup Sammy. Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Stephen E. Thurston of Wethersfie­ld, and 2 daughters, Lisa Lynn May, and husband William, of Barrington, Rhode Island, and Erika Lynn Coffey, and husband Sean, of Rocky Hill; 9 adored grandchild­ren, Gwendolyn, Greta and Nina Gibbons; Harrison, Krissy and Abbey May; Caleb, Cohen, and Chloe Coffey and many other cousins, nephew’s, nieces and friends.

The family will receive friends, Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10-11AM, followed by Services at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St, Rocky Hill CT, ending with a burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park. The family would like
