Gromak, Robert Stanley

Robert "Bob" Stanley Gromak, 74, of West Hartford, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by family. Bob attended Hartford High School graduating in 1967. Shortly after, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served four years with two tours in Vietnam. He then went to work for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford until he retired in 2015. Bob was always his authentic self, though rough around the edges, he loved his family and trips to the airport to watch the planes takeoff with his granddaughter. Bob was long with his stories but never failed to make you laugh. He was a selfless man who worked hard to support his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Lauren Gromak. He leaves behind his daughter, Amy Gromak Zarcone and husband Sandro and his sons Steven and Nicholas. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Liliana Zarcone, who always kept him on his toes. He is survived by his brothers Henry Gromak and wife Elaine and Ed Gromak and wife Ann, and brothers-in-law Daniel Sayadoff and

wife Kim, Peter Sayadoff and wife Rachel, John Sayadoff and wife Sally, his sister-in-law Carol Sarkozy and husband Richard.

He will be missed by many nephews, nieces, greatnephews, great-nieces and friends.

in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield with military honors.
