Paul R. Thibeault, 75, of Windsor, devoted husband to the late Judy A. (Debisschop) Thibeault, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, with his sons by his side. Paul was born in Hartford on April 26, 1947, one of three sons to the late Percy and Emilienne (Gastonguay) Thibeault.

Paul graduated from Hartford Public High School with the Class of 1965 and the University of Connecticut with the Class of 1969, where he studied engineering and later earned his master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1972. Paul was an engineer for Combustion Engineering and later Alstom, where he retired after nearly forty years of service. Paul was recognized for his innovation with multiple patents, but more importantly, built relationships with colleagues that remained long past his career, including his dear friends Herb and John. It was at Uconn where Paul met the love of his life, Judy, and he often spoke fondly of the night they met, February 6, 1969, where he persisted through a snowstorm just to talk to the woman he would later marry on November 25, 1972. Paul and Judy had three sons that they loved fiercely, and their favorite thing to do was to be a part of their lives… whether at hockey tournaments, family vacations, or coaching youth sports.

Above all, Paul's world revolved around Judy. He was happiest when he was with her, and after she passed away the thought of her always brought an instant smile to his face. There is great comfort in knowing they are together once again.

Paul is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey and his wife Melissa of Branford, CT and their children, Andrew and Emma, Brian and his wife Anne of Hebron, CT and their children Elizabeth and Eric, and Michael and his wife Stefanie of Windsor, CT and their children Catherine, Logan, Connor, and Finnan. He was a loving “Papa” to his grandchildren, and once wrote “Grandchildren are pure love; You won't fully understand this until your own children have kids; I think of my grandkids all the time; Any day that I get to see any of them is a good day.” In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Claude and Donald.
