Barbara A. (Cone) Ragle formerly of Simsbury, beloved wife of 65 years of the late Dwight Ragle, died Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born March 17, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Homer and Alberta Cone. Barbara had a number of hobbies. She made these amazing crazy quilts which are truly works of art and treasured by the family. She was a wonderful gardener and a great bread baker. She took care of her grandchildren Justin and Spencer almost everyday and was their second mom and was always on call to assist with all of her grandchildren. She loved history and could tell you anything about the Egyptians or the English Monarchy. Her favorite thing to do was to sit in her garden, sipping wine and reading or being with family. She and Dwight loved to go to Watch Hill, RI, which will be their final resting place. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone and was one of the kindest, most forgiving people you would have the pleasure of knowing. She was a true lady in every sense of the word.

She leaves her daughter, Thomasin Ragle Mullen and her husband Robert Horrigan of Stamford, CT; her son, Matthew Ragle and his wife Jill of Greenfield Center, NY. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, especially by her grandchildren Justin, Spencer, Maddie and Jack. She also leaves behind Bill Mullen, father of Justin and Spencer, who was the only one who was allowed to call her Babs.

Mom we hope the next part of your journey is filled with much love and laughter. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Brighton Gardens of Stamford, specifically Marcia, AJ, Monique, Liz, Caroline, Dona, Anthony, Mica, Gladys, Gaby and Leila.

They would also like to thank The Constellation Hospice Team in CT, Julie, Amanda, Angela, Ian, Robin and others who cared for her.

Services will be private. Donations may be made to the Connecticut Children's Foundation, Inc., 282 Washington Street, Hartford, CT 06106. Please visit Barbara's Book of Memories at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
