Perzan, Jr., Louis F.

Louis F. Perzan, Jr., 86, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Gworek) Perzan for 62 years and she joined him in heaven two days later. Born and raised in New Britain, son of the late Louis and Jean (Gurnicki) Perzan, he raised his family in Plainville before returning to New Britain. Louis honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Local 24 after spending his life as a skilled carpenter. He enjoyed golfing and weekend fishing trips with his family. He was a talented basketball player in his younger years and was a Uconn Basketball fan. He enjoyed trips to the casino and shore with his wife, and loved to celebrate at family gatherings. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he leaves his three children, Gary Perzan and his wife Marilyn of Burlington, Robert Perzan and his wife Jacqueline of Burlington and Paula Perzan of New Britain, his three grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor and Jordan Perzan, and his great granddaughter Payton Pryor. He is also survived by his brother William Perzan of Lyme and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 6th, at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd., New Britain at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors alongside his wife in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
