Browns’ Haslams set to buy 25% of Bucks

Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam have agreed to purchase Marc Lasry’s 25% stake of the Bucks in a deal that puts the value of the NBA franchise at $3.5 billion, according to reports Monday.

Those numbers, if finalized, would mean the Haslams plan to spend about $875 million for Lasry’s stake of the team.

It would be the second-highest valuation in NBA history, behind the $4 billion valuation for the Suns and WNBA’S Mercury when Mat Ishbia acquired them in a deal that closed earlier this month.

The Bucks’ ownership group also includes Jamie Dinan and Mike Fascitelli. „ Lebron James will miss the Lakers’ game against the Grizzlies on Tuesday due to right foot soreness. James suffered the injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s comeback victory over the Mavericks. James finished the game, scoring 26 points, and said after they would “monitor” the injury the next couple days.

Baseball: INF Gavin Lux was carted off the field after suffering a right knee injury during the Dodgers’ spring training game against the Padres. Lux was set to undergo an MRI.

NFL: The Commanders released Carson Wentz, an expected move that puts an end to the one-season experiment with the veteran QB. Wentz, 30, threw for 11 TDS and nine INTS in eight games.

The Maple Leafs acquired forward Sam Lafferty and defenseman Jake Mccabe from the Blackhawks, who received a conditiona­l 2025 firstround draft pick, a secondroun­der in ’26, prospect Pavel Gogolev and forward Joey Anderson. The Leafs also get conditiona­l fifthround picks in ’24 and ’25.

NHL:

Soccer: U.S. women’s coach Vlatko Andonovski earned 73% less than American men’s coach Gregg Berhalter in the year ending last March 31. Andonovski earned $446,495, according to the U.S. Soccer Federation’s tax filing.
