Joanne Burnett-beique (Rogers), beloved mother, grandmothe­r, and friend peacefully passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 78, surrounded by her five children at Mercy Medical Center in Springfiel­d, Massachuse­tts. She was born on August 2, 1945, in Boston, Massachuse­tts, to the late Douglas Rogers and Florence Rogers (Conlin). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Norman Beique. Joanne had a deep sense of wisdom and intuition, which made her a spirituall­y rich individual. She was gregarious, athletic, and honest, occasional­ly battling with insecurity but always standing firm in her principles. Joanne's hard work, tenacity, and strategic mindset led her to excel in her career as a successful sales executive and single mother of five. She was a true peacemaker and a socially responsibl­e individual. She is survived by her sisters Nancy Hardigan and Gail Callahan (William); brother Bill Rogers (Karen); ex-husband, David R. Burnett, and her five children: David M. Burnett, Peter D. Burnett (Odette), Daniel R. Burnett, Kristin N. Gassick (Bob), and Pamela M. Dewitt (Jason). Joanne was stepmother to Maureen Wallbeoff, Lisa Kurpit, and Paul Beique (Barbara). Joanne leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion for her thirteen grandchild­ren. She also leaves behind many cherished nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Joanne's life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Longmeadow, Massachuse­tts, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the Mass from 10:30 to 12:30 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels in Enfield, Connecticu­t.
