SARASOTA - Gladys “Happy” Davison passed peacefully on February 14, 2024, by the ocean on Lido Beach, Sarasota, FL, her home for the last 50 years.

Happy was born to Pearl and DeWitt Tittle on March 4, 1923, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The family later relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio where Happy attended Woodward High School. Happy and her former husband Edward Davison lived in Terrace Park, Ohio where they enjoyed years of entertaini­ng and traveling with friends.

Known for her creativity, sense of style and love of the arts, Happy volunteere­d as a docent for the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. She loved entertaini­ng, cooking, fashion and interior design.

Happy was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth “Betty” Horner, William “Bill” Tittle and her son Robert “Bob” Davison. She is survived by her grandson John (Hoa) Davison, Vietnam, great-granddaugh­ter Kate (Jason) Lovins, Cincinnati, great-grandson Philip Davison, Cincinnati: great-great grandsons Logan, Lucas, and Lincoln Lovins and Dominic Davison, Cincinnati; daughter-in-law Lynn Davison; nieces Pamela Kinane, Janet Tittle, and Barbara Gorby, as well as many great nieces and nephews. Happy is also survived by many close and cherished friends in Sarasota, including Debbie Bowe, Tina Lovin, Nancy Adams and Pamela Anderson. She will be remembered for her wisdom, humor, generous spirit and endless sense of fun.

Private services will be held in Cincinnati in May. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Women’s Resource Center in Sarasota, FL or Women Helping Women in Cincinnati, Ohio.
