Benjamin John Bilotta

-

SARASOTA - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin John Bilotta, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us too soon on January 4, 2024, at the age of 41.

Born on March 6, 1982, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Patricia (Darling) Papiano and Timothy Bilotta. Raised in Prospect, Connecticut, Ben was an active, happy child and gifted athlete.

Benjamin loved working with his hands. He worked in construction as a framer, finisher, carpenter, and roofer. He found joy in building things, working on cars, drawing and painting, and strumming melodies on his guitar.

Benjamin is survived by his family: his loving parents, Raymond and Patricia Papiano; his brother, Jason Bilotta; his beloved Sister in Law, Kimberly Bilotta, his sisters, Angie Deaver and Audrey Bilotta; his adored niece and nephews, Nicholas, Kayla, Anthony, and Joseph Bilotta; and a close-knit circle of friends who were like family to him.

Ben’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but he lives on in our hearts.

A small, intimate celebration of Ben’s life will be held on March 30th at 11am in Sarasota FL.

To honor Ben’s memory, his family has established a scholarship fund in his name, to the Florida Diabetes Camp / Pee-Wee Camp Brandon, FL to help young children with Type 1 Diabetes learn to manage their health early, so that they may have a long and healthy life. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations to the Florida Diabetes Camp PO Box 14136 Gainesville Florida 32604 in his name.

Rest in peace, Ben. You may have left this world, but you will never leave our heart. We love you.
