Scott J. King
SARASOTA - Scott J. King, 61, of Sarasota, Fl passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024. He will be greatly missed. Scott was born on July 19, 1962 in Huntington, West Virginia to Patti and James King. Scott spent his early years in Dayton, Ohio where his parents grew up and lived. His family moved to Sarasota, Fl when Scott was a young boy, where he grew up and attended Riverview High School and graduated in 1980. Scott worked as a Florida State Trooper in the late 80’s, as well as a licensed funeral director for Toale Brothers in Sarasota in the early 90’s. He also worked as an airplane mechanic for Northrop Grumman in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
Scott’s real passion was Music, especially Rock n Roll music. He played the guitar and and was a great drummer. Scott was a huge Kiss fan and loved Springsteen, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi and too many more to mention. He played a lot of Pong and Madden NFL video games when he was younger. Scott also was an artist and was very good at pencil sketches. He had a great sense of humor and brightened up a room when he walked in. Scott loved to go fishing with Grandpa Kraft and loved watching Pittsburgh Steelers games.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Patti and Jim King of Sarasota, Fl, as well
as grandparents, Mary and Bud Kraft of the Sarasota, Fl area, grandparents, Nola and Burdette King of West Milton, Oh, aunt Shirley and uncle Bob Williams of Sarasota, Fl, and uncle, Ronald King of West Milton, Oh. He is survived by his aunt, Sherynne King of West Milton, Oh, and cousins, Leigh, Bradley, Bruce and Danny Williams, and Greg, Kevin, Kurtis and Jeff King. Scott is also survived by his cousin, Don Watern and the Watern Family, as well as cousins, Sue, Beth and Kathy Brandt.

A Memorial Service for Scott will be held at National Cremation and Burial Society at 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34239 at 11:00 AM on April 19, 2024.
