How’s riding your Arabian different from riding your Quarter Horse?

-

Janelle Jensrud My horses are very different from each other. My Arabian is more responsive, quicker with my cues, and never needs reins. He feels the slightest cue and immediately delivers the response. My Quarter Horse is much more laid back, but also responsive to my cues. Duana Boyd I had an Arabian for 22 years. He was very light and responsive; all I had to do was tighten my calf muscle and he’d automatically shift gears. I also had a Quarter Horse that was the most reliable, steady-eddy horse I’ve ever ridden. Sylvia Walton Buchanan Starkweather I’ve raised and shown both Quarter Horses and Arabians, and I’ve seen no difference in personalities. Both were great horses! Judit Sedillos I love my Half-Arabian. He’s sensitive and expressive.
