Castletree Homes begins Benefit home in Miramesa
Castletree Homes has begun construction on its 4540 Plan, a 2,387-square-foot, one-story design that includes three bedrooms with an extra room as an optional study, and 2½ baths as one of two homes being built for the Greater Houston Builders Association Benefit Homes Project. This is a 34-yearold fundraiser sponsored by the GHBA.
The Castletree Benefit home is nestled within the new Miramesa community just a few miles south of U.S. 290 on Fry Road. The homesite was donated by Land Tejas Cos., the developer of the award-winning Canyon Gate Communities.
Castletree’s design includes an openstyle kitchen that features a Bertazzoni stainless-steel speed oven and microwave, a Bertazzoni Range in a choice of stainless-steel or five designer colors, a stainless-steel Bosch Ultra-Quiet dishwasher, Benedettini Maple cabinets and a built-in planning desk with built-in book shelves. The home will also include granite countertops throughout. ‘Green’ features, including a Nest Thermostat Nest Protect and combination smoke/ carbon monoxide detectors, also are included.
Also featured in the Benefit Home is a Sentricon Always Active termite-deterrent system, Belgard paver lead walk, Delta Leland single handle faucet with Touch2O Technology, and radiant barrier roof decking. The house also in- cludes a covered patio, full gutters with underground drainage system, a six-foot iron fence, brick on all four sides and inground sprinkler system.
Each year, two to three homes are built for the fundraiser with donated materials and services by GHBA members. The homes are sold at market value and the majority of the funds are presented to the Alzheimer’s Association, Texas Children’s Cancer Center and HomeAid Houston. Since the project began, it has raised more than $9 million.
