Trends This SEASON

Christmas is approaching fast, before donning that special reindeer sweater your aunt gifted the family last year, try a few of the hottest holiday fashion trends of 2015.

WHITE AT NIGHT

Ever heard the adage to not wear white after Labor Day? This could not be more wrong in 2015, as head-to-toe white rules the runway.

And why limit yourself to just white? Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney and Lemaire are all offering this season’s top fashion pieces in ivory, cream and pearl. Check out Stella McCartney’s Wool Tailoring Marcy Dress ($3,920) and consider pairing it with dressy slacks and a chunky jeweled necklace.

Donning a pair of dressy slacks under a feminine dress gives standard issued corporate attire a pretty twist.

For a more casual look without losing the elegance, pair the same dressy slacks with Polo Ralph Lauren’s sweater with fringe ($265) available at Macy’s. This flirty top comes with a crew neck and fringe roll line. For a third look, wear the fringe sweater with skinny jeans.

MOTORCYCLE CHIC

For an edgy look this season, consider going motorcycle chic. Designers such as Alexander McQueen and Calvin Klein are embracing their inner bad boy with biker-inspired ware. Check out Alexander McQueen’s Classic Skull Silk Chiffon Scarf ($295) at Saks Fifth Avenue for an elegant way to express the inner rock star.

For other unique scarf ideas, Moby & Tate is a scarf-only fashion company featuring multicolored leather, chain and knit scarves ($48-$88).

The company’s exclusive unique designs can’t be found anywhere else and are for the fashion-forward woman who wants to stand out.

Find the Moby & Tate collection online at mobyandtate.com.

Calvin Klein’s compression ponte pants ($69.50) with Michael Kors’ fulton harness rain boots ($125) is a road-ready combination.

The classic leggings with leather-like patchwork and knee high boots are both available at Macy’s.

LAYERING LOVE

It’s that time of year again to pile on the clothes and brave the winter chill. But wearing multiple layers doesn’t have to be uncomfortable and unwieldy. Several layers of body-conscious knits, plus a neck-warming scarf, can be as cozy as your favorite chunky sweater. A waist-cinching belt is is a great way to finish off the look while avoiding a bulky appearance. Tommy Hilfiger’s active vest ($89.50), sweater ($79.50) and ponte leggings ($69.50) can create a causal layered look.

American Rag’s fringed sweater ($59.50) with a long coat makes the perfect boho look. Try INC International Concepts’ furtrimmed poncho ($89.50) or Michael Kors poncho ($175) to get the ultimate bohemian style.

Try a sporty look with Calvin Klein’s iridescent vest ($69), which also adds a little shimmer to any holiday wardrobe.

The vests come in black or white for a subdued look or blue and purple for a more attentiongrabbing style.

All items are available at Macy’s.
