1 Offer valet parking: If you live somewhere where street parking is scarce or hard to find, your guests will appreciate having someone take this little stressor away before the party starts. Whether you’ve got an eager volunteer or hire a professional service, you won’t regret investing in this service. 2 Rent a beverage fountain for champagne: Chocolate fountains can get a little messy, so you can be sure that your guests will love the bubbly champagne alternative. Bonus points if you include something like cranberries to jazz it up.

3 Serve up various appetizers and one

main event: Save yourself the stress of cooking a large meal and serve up light bites, such as creamy spinach dip or bruschetta. Include one main event as the centerpiece on your food table, whether it’s bread and cheese fondue or a creamy potato soup.

4 Include a signature drink and souvenir: Sure, your guests will appreciate the usual beer and wine, but they’ll flock toward a themed beverage such as a candy cane martini or even a comforting classic such as mulled wine. Include a variety of charms to attach to glasses in lieu of name tags, giving guests the option to take them home. 5 Take classic games a step further: Everyone loves an occasional round of Pictionary and Charades, and what’s more fun than adding some holiday spirit? Prepare holiday-themed answers ahead of time, from classic scenes from Home Alone to characters from How the Grinch Stole

Christmas. you won’t regret investing in this service.

6 Have a gingerbread house-decorating

station: Bake enough pieces of gingerbread ahead of time and provide frosting, decorating tools and candy for guests to work with at their leisure. This is an excellent kid-friendly activity idea to include if you need one. 7 Set up a photo booth: Whether you’re using a fancy camera and tripod or even just your smartphone, you can pretty much guarantee that your guests will form a line for this one. Use a red and green colored backdrop and include fun props like Santa hats. Let your guests print their photos at the end of the night.

8 Include a crafts table: Another kidfriendly idea, guests will love having the option to make a Christmas tree ornament or decorate a stocking to take home with them.

9 Set up a scavenger hunt: Send your guests on a picture-proof quest (without traveling too far) for items such as pinecones, Christmas-themed clothing, etc. Have a special prize waiting for whoever checks the most off the list.

10 Try gift bags: Let your guests take their memories home, including pictures from the photo booth, some traditional holiday candy, and perhaps a common favorite such as a Starbucks gift card.
