Bright ideas to show Mom she’s special this Mother’s Day.

Flowers, brunch and a card may be the most common Mother’s Day treats, but a little shopping will get her something that will last.

The National Retail Federation’s 2016 spending survey expects Americans will spend $21.4 billion on moms this holiday.

Jewelry, clothing, electronics and personal services — such as a spa day— also rank high. Here are some ideas for the mom in your life, especially those who want something floral-inspired.

1. Artist Ben Busko’s glass decoupage plates are inspired by the flowers in his garden. You’ll find them with alliums, dahlias and magnolia blooms, among others. They start at $45 and are available at bensgarden.com as well as a variety of Houston stores, including Bering’s, Biscuit Home, Events, Kuhl-Linscomb and the Houstonian Hotel.

2. Classic blue-and-white porcelain tissue container, $98 at Memorial Antiques & Interiors, 8719 Katy Freeway

3. Gold-leaf coffee table in a flower design, $1,000 at Memorial Antiques & Interiors, 8719 Katy Freeway

4. Siam silk pillow, the purple and fuchsia in this bold Jonathan Adler pillow — in two sizes, 12 by 16 inches or 20 by 20 inches — are straight from your perennial garden. $118/$148, Jonathan Adler in West Ave, 2800 Kirby

5. First Edie Sedgwick inspired Andy Warhol. Now the American heiress, socialite and fashion model has inspired Jonathan Adler’s Edie Vase, a partial torso with a floral relief pattern in just the right spot. $198 at Jonathan Adler in West Ave, 2800 Kirby

7. Mom needs to get off her feet once in a while. What better way than to melt into this comfortable Elyse chair, $899 at Crate & Barrel.

8. Pretty plates make everything taste better, right? This boxed set of Bloom Plates offers floral designs in four colors. $24.95 at Crate & Barrel

9. If Mom loves candles, try this sleek metal Crissa pillar candle holder. $19.95 at Crate & Barrel
