Brier helps clients navigate stressful real estate processes

There are some things that you simply have to learn on the job. And after being in real estate for close to 40 years, Sharon Brier, Realtor with Greenwood King Properties, attests to that truth.

“Experience has taught me many of the tips and keys of the trade that you only learn from working with clients, such as maximizing marketing to fit the present market status, negotiatin­g through changing contracts, and how to avoid complex situations,” Brier said.

The numerous real estate certificat­ions she holds also assist her in working with clients. Some of those certificat­ions include Certified Negotiatio­n Expert and Accredited Buyers Rep.

One thing Brier’s clients appreciate is her sense of humor and creative side, especially since those purchasing property often feel stressed during some point through the process.

“It is all about the client. I want my clients, buyers or sellers, to be comfortabl­e every step of the way. It is important to me that they make the decisions and I lead them to the point that they make those decisions knowledgab­ly,” Brier said.

Brier is also patient with her clients and helps guide them through reviewing a property.

“Often, buyers walk into a home, or see a home on the internet that has been perfectly staged, and they fall in love with the décor.

“It is my job to help them see past the furniture and art, and look at the functional­ity and layout of the house to insure it fits their goals,” Brier said.

Brier is also active in the Luxury Portfolio Marketing for internatio­nal exposure. Buyers are coming from around the globe, especially since the U.S. is still seen as the most favorable market to invest. Brier also visits real estate companies abroad when she travels to network and to learn about their real estate practices.

“Unique skills are required when working with internatio­nal buy- ers, and being a Certified Internatio­nal Property Specialist has helped me understand the best to serve these clients,” Brier said.

Brier works with buyers and sellers in all price ranges, and strives to provide the most up-todate informatio­n, data, marketing and services to each client.

“Real estate is much more than just about the deal, it is about the long-term satisfacti­on. When clients are satisfied, even after years of living in their new home, they usually refer their friends and neighbors, which is an honor and the highest compliment,” Brier said.
