Martha Turner SIR visits Chicago for firm’s annual Circle of Excellence trip
Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty hosted a fabulous trip for its top producers once again. April 8-10 was met with excitement and anticipation — the agents always look forward to preparing for a weekend of celebrating their accomplishments with fellow top agents.
This year’s destination was Chicago. The Four Seasons Hotel was home for three days for the 42 attending agents, their guests and management. Snow in April was a surprise, but in no way put a damper on the enjoyment of the great city
The weekend was launched with a cocktail reception and buffet at the hotel Friday evening. MTSIR agents mingled throughout the first night, catching up and sharing stories and lessons they have learned during the last year. The Four Seasons also was home to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, which made it interesting with a LeBron James sighting.
Some very adventurous agents went to Second City on Friday, while others relished in local steakhouses and ate deep-dish pizza. First on the agenda Saturday morning was a group tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio. Saturday afternoon, several agents bundled up and took an architectural boat tour of downtown.
“The forecasted cold made us Texans a little nervous but once there, the snow falling during the tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s home was almost magical,” said Marilyn Thompson, president. “I had such a wonderful time with these agents, as I do every year.”
