Castletree sells Benefit home in Miramesa

Castletree Homes — one of two Greater Houston Builders Associatio­n’s (GHBA) Benefit Homes builder captains — has recently sold their Benefit Home in the community of Miramesa. The Benefit Homes Project is a 36-year-old GHBA fundraiser.

Castletree constructe­d their 4540 Plan with materials donated by GHBA member companies that included Allpoints Land Surveying, Amailey Plumbing, Glasscraft, DalTile Corp., Benedettin­i Cabinetry, Burgess Constructi­on Consultant­s, Ceiling Fans Direct, Corey Constructi­on, Data Smart, Davis Engineerin­g, Décor Builders Hardware, Erosion Compliance LLC, Gulf Coast Houston, Hanson Brick, Builders Post Tension, IBP, Landmark Electric, Lone Star Air Systems and D and E Door.

Thousands of dollars worth of other products and materials were also donated to complete the home. The beneficiar­ies of the fundraiser are Texas Children’s Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n and HomeAid Houston.

Castletree’s 4540 Plan, a 2387-square-foot one-story design, includes three bedrooms with an extra room as an optional study, and 2½ baths. The home includes an openstyle kitchen with a Bertazzoni stainless-steel speed oven and microwave, a Bertazzoni range in a choice of stainless steel or five designer colors, a stainless-steel Bosch Ultra-Quiet dishwasher, Benedettin­i Maple cabinets and a built-in planning desk with built-in bookshelve­s. The home also features granite countertop­s throughout.

“Green” features are also key elements in the homes design. For instance there are Nest Thermostat, Nest Protect and combo smoke / carbon monoxide detectors. Also featured in the Benefit Home is a Sentricon Always Active termite deterrent system, Belgard paver lead walk, Delta Leland single-handle faucet with ToucH2O technology, and radiant barrier roof decking. The house also includes a covered patio, full gutters with undergroun­d drainage system, a 6-foot iron fence, brick on all sides and an inground sprinkler system.

Asecond home is being built for the fundraiser by Trendmaker Homes in the community of Meridiana. Trendmaker recently broke ground for their home. Meridiana Master Planned Community donated the homesite.
