“Who got my back!” That chant in the pregame huddle rang loud from Elkins guard Chad Bowie all year. And it was loud all the way to San Antonio when Elkins made the program’s first state tournament appearance. Elkins added to Fort Bend ISD’s already-staunch reputation on the court by going 36-3 last year and consistently holding the top ranking in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ rankings.
