Calcasieu Lake — HR&G reported limits of trout under birds and over reefs on shrimp and mullet. Nearshore rigs have held trout and tripletail. Galveston — Guide James Plaag of Silver King Adventures reported limits of trout over deep reefs on pink ghost Bass Assassins. Tarpon are showing along the beach. Surf anglers found trout on the incoming tide. Matagorda — Scattered catches of trout, Gulf trout and redfish were caught by drifters tossing live shrimp and Gulps under a popping cork. Surf anglers braved a bumpy beach but were rewarded with limits of trout. Port O’Connor — Waders took limits of trout on the incom- ing tide on Down South Lures, Gamblers, Bass Assassins and MirrOlures over sand and grass. The surf was green to the beach and limits of trout came on croakers and topwaters.
