Elyson announces builders as it nears fall grand opening
Newland Communities announces eight home builders for Elyson, its new 3,642-acre community in the Katy Independent School District.
Offering new homes priced from the mid-$200,000s to $600,000s, Elyson is located at Grand Parkway and FM 529, approximately eight miles north of I-10 west.
Chesmar, Darling, David Weekley, Highland, Perry, Pulte, Trendmaker and Westin are building in the first phase of Elyson. For more information about the builders, visit www. elyson.com.
The home builders have started construction of 10 model homes that will open in the community’s Model Home Vil- lage this fall.
Many builders are now preselling in Elyson, and some plan to preview their models as early as August.
Overall, Elyson is planned for more than 6,000 singlefamily homes, along with more than 750 acres of parks, trails, recreation centers, waterways and natural open space.
Elyson’s first major amenity, Rorick House, also will open this fall. It will include a resort-style pool and swimming complex, a fitness center, gathering rooms for resident events, an event lawn, playground and more.
Rorick House also will include the official home buyer welcome center for Elyson. It will also have a cafe, Rorick Kitchen, which will serve pizzas, salads, smoothies, and other fare to visitors and residents.
Another amenity will be community orchards where residents can pick pecans and citrus fruit.
Elyson’s youngest students will attend nearby Bethke Elementary, a new Katy ISD school opening in August. It will feature an innovative design to encourage collaborative learning.
Elyson is the fourth community that Newland has developed in Katy ISD. The largest, Cinco Ranch, opened in 1991.
