Elyson invites home shoppers to attend September preview
This fall’s opening of the new 3,642-acre Elyson community in the Katy Independent School District promises to be one of the most anticipated events of the season for home shoppers.
For those who would like to enjoy a sneak peak of Elyson, ahead of the October opening, the community is hosting a special preview event in September.
This preview will introduce many of the 10 model homes in Elyson Model Home Village, along with a first look at the new Rorick House recreational amenity and visitor welcome center.

Located at Grand Parkway and FM 529, approximately eight miles north of I-10 west, Elyson offers new homes priced from the mid-$200,000s to $600,000s by Chesmar, Darling, David Weekley, Highland, Perry, Pulte, Trendmaker and Westin.
Elyson will devote 750 acres to parks, trails, recreation centers, waterways and natural open space.
Rorick House, to be completed in time for the fall grand opening, will offer a swimming complex, an event lawn, playgrounds, and a clubhouse with an indoor fitness center and meeting rooms for resident events. Rorick House also will offer a fullservice cafe: Rorick Kitchen.
Elyson students will attend nearby Bethke Elementary, a new Katy ISD school opening this month. Elyson residents also are expected to attend new Katy ISD middle and high schools opening next to Bethke Elementary in 2017, although attendance boundaries have not been announced by the district.
Elyson is the fourth community that Newland Communities has developed in Katy ISD. The largest one is 8,100-acre Cinco Ranch.
