Lucille Laughlin Davis, 90, of Houston, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Born in Arcadia, Louisiana, on February 15, 1926, she was the daughter of Eva Belle Chandler and Mertha Julius Laughlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Davis, her parents; her brothers, Homer Laughlin and Ronnie Jack Hennigan; her daughter-in-law, June Carolyn May; grandchild­ren, Stephanie, Charles Ashley and Starlin Michael May; and many beloved aunts, uncles and family members. Lucille loved family reunions and her family knows she is enjoying this one in our Heavenly Home. She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed doing anything she could for them. She was a wonderful cook and everyone has from Lucille a great recipe that they treasure. She was a constant presence in her family’s life and tried to attend every event and celebratio­n. She loved well and was well loved. Lucille is survived by her children, Victor May, Michael May and his wife, Joyce, Christi Quinn and her husband, Dean, Bill Davis and his wife, Laura; grandchild­ren, Paul, Jamie and wife Debbie, Karen and husband Paul, Vicki, Mark, Jason, Trevor, Connor, Graham, Will and his wife, Stephanie, and Zach, and precious greatgrand­children, as well as her brother Larry and sisters, Jean, Wanda, Ina, Dalene, Gayle, and Sarah, along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at West University United Methodist Church. Interment will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Edinburg, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n at alz.org, or to Alzheimer’s Associatio­n National Office, 225 N.
