Jays rebound, beat Indians

CLEVELAND — Edwin Encarnacio­n homered, Roberto Osuna bounced back from a nightmaris­h outing to record the save, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 6-5 on Saturday night.

The Blue Jays were stunned Friday night by Tyler Naquin’s game-ending, inside-the-park home run off Osuna that gave the Indians a 3-2 win.

The latest matchup between division leaders also had plenty of drama, with Osuna retiring Naquin on a groundout to end it. A ROYALS10, TWINS0: Alex Gordon homered twice, Ian Kennedy pitched eight sharp innings, and host Kansas City beat Minnesota to extend its win streak to seven games. A REDS 11, DODGER S1: Brandon Finnegan took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, Adam Duvall and Jose Peraza each hit home runs, and Cincinnati beat visiting Los Angeles. A METS9, GIANTS5: Yoenis Cespedes hit two long home runs and an RBI double in his second game back from the disabled list, boosting New York to a win at San Francisco. A CUBS9, ROCKIES2: Kris Bryant launched a long homer and drove in four runs, Ben Zobrist had three hits and also went deep, and Chicago won at Colorado. A MARLINS 3, PIRATES 1: Xavier Scruggs hit his first major league home run, and David Phelps pitched six scoreless innings to help Miami beat host Pittsburgh. A WHITESOX 6, ATHLETICS 2: Chris Sale pitched eight scoreless innings for his first victory in 49 days and Jose Abreu homered as Chicago beat visiting Oakland. A DIAMONDBAC­KS 2, PADRES 1: Robbie Ray struck out a career-high 13 and gave up just one hit in seven innings, pitching Arizona to a win at San Diego.
