Houston startup Apartment Butler will use $750,000 in new seed funding to expand its mobile concierge services to more local apartment buildings and launch in Dallas this year.

Among its partners are apartment operators Lincoln Property Co., Mill Creek Residential, Alliance Residential, HanoverCo., the Morgan Group and Waterton.

The Apartment Butler apple ts residents at the partner complexes book services such as housekeeping, pet walking and dry cleaning. The service, available at more than 40 properties, can be scheduled regularly or last-minute, without the need to leave a key.

Ben Johnson, Apartment Butler’ s CEO and founder, said his services cost about 10 percent below typical market prices because, once contracted by a complex, Apartment Butler can offer them to an entire community more efficiently.

“We can tell the dog walker, come to our location, walk five dogs in a row,” Johnson said. “We’re leveraging the economies of scale of these larger buildings to broker a better deal for all the residents.”
