Elyson opens first two model homes
Highland Homes has opened the first two model homes in Elyson, a new community at Grand Parkway and FM 529, in the Katy Independent School District.
Elyson’s VIP Preview event is coming Sept. 24, but early visitors who head over this weekend will likely meet some fellow home shoppers.
“Until recently, we haven’t even had any signs, but the number of people who’ve found us has been amazing,” said Highland Homes sales professional Ben Stott. “It’s a strong sign of interest in Elyson’s location and vision. Home buyers have a lot of confidence in Newland Communities, which has done an outstanding job with Cinco Ranch.”
Highland’s one-story model, Plan 204, features a “farmhouse chic” decor inspired by Elyson’s 3,642-acre master plan, which will devote more than 750 acres to parks, trails, recreational amenities and natural open space on the Katy Prairie.
Highlights include a freestanding tub in the master bath, sliding barn doors for the entertainment room, a vintagestyle tile kitchen backsplash, and reclaimed-look hardwood floors.
Highland’s two-story model, Plan 557, has a more transitional look. Horizontal wrought-iron railings on the staircase and balcony evoke a midcentury aesthetic. In the family room, the fireplace is surrounded by tile that reaches up to the ceiling.
The builder offers two price collections in Elyson — from the high $200,000s on 55-foot homesites, and from the mid-$300,000s on 65-foot homesites.
Highland has incentives for early buyers in September, including up to $13,000 in closing costs with its preferred lender, in addition to an extra allowance for designer upgrades.
Elyson’s VIP Preview event on Sept. 24 will showcase 10 model homes priced from the mid-$200,000s to $600,000s by Chesmar, Darling, David Weekley, Highland, Perry, Pulte, Trendmaker and Westin.
