Miss Haley Marie Freeman Weds Mr. Joseph Thomas Roff

Haley Marie Freeman and Joseph Thomas Roff were united in marriage on September 24, 2016 at 6:00 o’clock in the evening at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Mary Wilson of Houston, Texas. Scott McNulty and Dr. Robert Cannon provided music for the ceremony along with soloist Antoine Garth. The bride’s parents hosted a reception immediatel­y following the ceremony at The Driskill, where guests enjoyed dinner and dancing with music provided by I Love This Band from Atlanta, Georgia.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at Laguna Gloria, where friends and family celebrated the couple. On Friday afternoon, the bride’s grandmothe­rs and aunts hosted a luncheon at Taverna in honor of the bride and bridal party.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Karen Patterson Freeman of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas and Mr. John M. Freeman of Paris, France. She is the granddaugh­ter of Ms. Betty Storey of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas; Mrs. Helen Freeman Williams of Beaumont, Texas; and the late Mr. Walter H. Freeman of Beaumont, Texas.

The groom is the son of Doctors Mary Katharine and John Hugh Roff III of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Hugh Roff, Jr., of Houston, Texas and the late Mrs. Anne Johnson Scepansky, Ph.D., and the late Major General Joseph Thomas Scepansky, of Austin, Texas.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a hand embroidere­d fluted silhouette dress, with a sweetheart illusion neckline, designed by Naeem Khan. To compliment her gown, the bride chose a cathedral length veil. The bride carried a beautifull­y composed hand tied bouquet of Tibet Garden Roses, White Ranunculus, White Astilbe, White Stock, White Hydrangea, Seeded Eucalyptus and Green Ivy.

The bride’s Matron of Honor was Mason Bashaw Clelland of Houston, Texas. Serving as her Maid of Honor was Julia Campbell Wood of Houston, Texas. Bridesmaid­s were Mary Katherine Rathmell of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law of the groom, Julia Goldstein Roff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Frances Virginia Smith of New York, New York. House Party included Katherine Kirby Allison, Jordan Kayci Lippman, and Katherine Eugenia Marie Skarke, all of Houston, Texas. Serving as flower girls were cousin of the bride, Kennedy Elizabeth Cote of Fayettevil­le, Arkansas, and cousin of the groom, Annabel Marie Schiff of New York, New York.

Serving as Best Man was the groom’s brother, John Hugh Roff IV of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Groomsmen included brother of the bride, Nathaniel Storey Freeman of New York, New York; Matthew Lidecker Hussey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Andrew Abbott Sprague of Houston, Texas. Serving as Ushers were Bret Vaughan Berie, Taylor Davis Hendrix, Andrew Scott Klein, and David John Olach, all of Houston, Texas.

Haley is a 2008 graduate of The Kinkaid School in Houston, a 2012 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, and a 2016 graduate of Duke University School of Law. Beginning in October, she will be an Associate with Vinson & Elkins in Houston.

Thomas is a 2008 graduate of The Kinkaid School in Houston, and a 2012 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a degree in Finance. Thomas is currently a Commercial Specialist with Technip USA, Inc.

Following their honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Houston with their Huskies, Jaxon and June.
