Miss Hilary Lauren Sealy Weds Mr. Patrick Stephen Burch
Miss Hilary Lauren Sealy and Mr. Patrick Stephen Burch were united in marriage on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at half after six in the evening at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Chad T. Martin, scripture readings were delivered by Laura Abadie Beatty and Weston Thomas Settegast, cousins of the bride. The reception followed at The Houston Country Club, with Dinner and music by the band “Blind Date” of Austin, Texas. On the eve of the wedding the groom’s parent’s hosted a rehearsal dinner at La Colombe D’or.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Sealy IV of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Scott Laurent and the late Mr. Marion Edward Settegast, Jr. and Mr. George Sealy III and the late Ann McSween Sealy all of Houston, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Stephen Burch of Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is the grandson of Mrs. Agnes Carolyn Hall and the late Mr. John Edward Hall and Ms. Eloise Courtney Albritton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Henry Burch, all of Pensacola, Florida.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a Rivini of Canada, fit and flare gown, with tiered French Alencon lace, featuring a modified sweetheart neckline with detailed lace top. Each tier of lace was a unique motif, and the gowns full skirt, created with cascading lace peplum over a tulle underskirt, fell gently into a grand chapel length train. She wore an heirloom veil that was also worn by her mother and Aunts.
Marion Elizabeth Sealy, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Emily Merrill Alexander, Stephanie Burch Bell, sister of the groom, Catherine Frances Bradley, Kathryn Stroud Burgher, Whitney Fox Gordon, Megan Helen Kaldis, Alice Gutermuth Lodge, Helen Hemingway McLaughlin, Mallory LeeAnn Miller, Rebecca Kuhlmann Tripplehorn and Casey Marie Wright. The flower girls were Vera Kate Bell and Addison Kline Bell, nieces of the groom.
Rufus Stephen Burch, father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Zackary Aldis Cook, Thomas Patrick Gordon, Mark Adam Haydel, William Tarrant Hoke, William Johnston Porter, George Sealy V, brother of the bride, Lance Bryan Stephan, Joseph Bradley Surratt, Brandon Alan Thrasher and Robert Douglas Warren. The ushers were Philip Roger Bouchette, Chase Michael Lyons and James Henson Wheeler, Jr.
Hilary is a 2005 graduate of The Kinkaid School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas in Austin. Patrick is a 2004 graduate of Navarre High School and received his undergraduate degree in 2008 and his MBA in 2010 from The University of Alabama. Hilary works for Plains All American Pipeline and Patrick works for Hess Corporation. Following their honeymoon to South Africa, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
