Late field goal lifts TSU to victory; PV falls to Grambling

Eric Medina drilled a 51-yard field goal as time expired, and Texas Southern came back to beat Alabama A&M 34-31 on Saturday night at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The victory is the third straight conference win for the Tigers (3-2, 3-1 Southweste­rn Athletic Conference) and their first three-game SWAC win streak since 2000.

Medina’s kick capped a five-play, 34-yard drive, highlighte­d by an Averion Hurts 13-yard completion to Austin Watts and a roughing-the-passer penalty to put the Tigers in field-goal range.

Hurts threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns and added 55 yards rushing with a score. Larry Clark had 104 yards receiving for the Tigers. GRAMBLING ST. 36 PRAIRIE VIEW A&M16

Devante Kincade threw for 207 yards and one score and rushed for 90 yards and two more touchdowns as the Tigers picked up their third straight win, rolling over the Panthers in Dallas.

Grambling (4-1, 3-0 Southweste­rn Athletic Conference) amassed 503 yards while limiting the Panthers to 289.
