Paul Ryan Windows offers products tailored for Texas’ weather

-

Founded in 2012 by longtime installation professional Arlin Kethley, Paul Ryan Windows stands with products manufactured in Texas and tailored specifically for Texas’ extreme weather conditions.

Kethley came to window installation via a family tradition. His father made a career installing windows in the residential and commercial sector. He recalls warm memories of going to Astros games with his father and learning about the Lucite skylights that gave the Astrodome’s roof its iconic look.

“The skylight windows were meant to keep natural grass on the field alive,” Kethley said. “But players couldn’t see fly balls because of the windows’ glare, so they painted over them and all the grass died. That’s where AstroTurf came from — bad windows forcing innovation.”

That wouldn’t happen today. The window industry has introduced Low-E coating to homes and businesses to reduce glare while allowing natural light to enter. With 1980 being the median year that existing Houston homes were built, many homeowners are recognizing the value of window replacements.

Paul Ryan Windows offers Energy Star-rated packages with features designed to give windows longevity through the harsh Texas climate. With the average home having 10 windows, the company now offers no interest financing.

“It’s funny to think how far windows have come in 50 years,” Kethley said. “And how those childhood memories of the skylights in the Dome inspired me to pursue the same dream my father did.”
