Bravo’s upcoming “Married to Medicine Houston” is a different kind of medical drama.

The network will air two back-to-back episodes of the reality show starring local doctors and doctors’ wives starting at 8 p.m. Nov. 11.

The network describes its five Houston cast members as educated, attractive, polished and professional women “who have it all.” From the looks of the trailer that began airing this week, they possess another trait: drama.

Dr. Erika Sato, who works at Houston Plastic Craniofacial and Sinus Surgery, says she “never wanted to be a trophy wife,” and acknowledges that she struggles with medical problems of her own. Aware that her biological clock is ticking, Sato wrestles with whether she wants a child after discovering cysts on her ovaries.

Dr. Monica Patel aspires to be a wife and mother — like, now. The cardiologist asks a love interest over dinner if he’s ready to get married and have kids, and isn’t happy with his response.

“It’s been a good time for selfreflection,” she said Wednesday of her experience.

Cindi Rose, billed as supporting cast, accuses Rachel Suliburk, a self-professed sassy Southern belle, of being anti-Semitic in a tense scene. In another, the wife of Dr. Franklin Rose and mother of ABC’s “The Bachelor” alumna Erica Rose tells African-American dental surgeon Dr. Ashandra Batiste that she, too, is part AfricanAmerican. And that’s just in the trailer. It’s likely audiologist Elly Pourasef will spend the majority of the season explaining whether she’s a medical doctor and pursuing her dreams of having both the “big giant house” and thriving career.

That, Cindi Rose says, is the Houston way.
