Miss Sterling Glauser Ayala and Mr. Matthew Newman Tramonte were united in marriage on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 7 o’clock in the evening at St. Michael Catholic Church. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Revered Leon Strieder with music provided by Avalon Music. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Forest Club with entertainm­ent provided by Memphis Train Revue. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Cohen House.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Juan Carlos Ayala and the granddaugh­ter of Dr. Ronald Vincent Glauser and the late Patricia Welu Glauser of Houston, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Luis Alberto Ayala of Santiago, Chile. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Newman Tramonte and the grandson of Mr. Horace Joseph Norris, the late Claudene Norris, the late Mr. Sam Giaquin Tramonte, and Mrs. Joan Barker Tramonte, all of Galveston, Texas.

Presented by her family and escorted by her father and brother, the bride wore a long-sleeve gown of white Alencon lace combined with silk taffeta, originally worn by her mother and aunt on their wedding days. A coronet of bridal pearls held her veil of matching Alencon lace, which was etched with bridal jewels and passed down by her aunt.

Serving as maids of honor were the bride’s sisters, Chandler Ayala, Blakeley Ayala, and Addysan Ayala, and the bride’s cousin, Berkleigh Clemens. Bridesmaid­s included Kayla Colvill, Hailie Durrett, Theresa Hessel, Caroline Kaplan, Taylor Knotts, Catherine Lang, and Kathryn Schroeder. The honorary attendants were Ashton Almond, Alexandra Bennett, Lauren B’Oris, Madeline Burns, Taylor Termini, and Helen West. Flower girls included the cousins of the groom.

The groom’s brother, Kyle Tramonte, served as best man. Groomsmen were Harrison Ayala, brother of the bride, Bryan Grant, Andrew Guzman, Bradley Knotts, Edward Perez, Kevin Rafferty, Alex Scheiwe, Grant Sykes, John Tauscher, and Coleman West. Ushers included Matthew Clemens, Jr., Patrick Enriquez, Bryan Lothrop, Clayton Maples, Luca Mariotto, Parker Montalbano, Adrian Sauceda, Ethan Station, and Joseph Termini. The cousins of the groom served as ring bearers.

The bride and groom met in the Business Honors program at Texas A&M University, where both graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sterling was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, and Matt was a member of the Aggie Men’s Club. Matt currently works as a consultant at Bain and Company, while Sterling is an account executive at JLT Specialty.

Following their honeymoon in Bora Bora, the couple will reside in Houston.
