Pitt’s 76-61 victory over Syracuse sets mark for total score
PITTSBURGH — Nate Peterman threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another to lead Pittsburgh to a wild 76-61 victory over Syracuse on Saturday.
The combined point total of 137 beat the previous Football Bowl Championship record of 136 set in 2007 when Navy outlasted North Texas 74-62.
