Elyson’s ‘founding families’ find peace of mind in Newland Communities
Elyson is a new community on the Katy Prairie, but the fact that it is the fourth Katy community by Newland Communities is providing peace of mind for early residents.
Two of Elyson’s “founding families,” as the community is calling its pioneering home buyers, were impressed by the 25-year track record of Newland’s Cinco Ranch community.
For Scott Henderson, who lived in Cinco Ranch since he was a child, the fact that Elyson was another Newland community provided a lot of confidence.
“We definitely wanted to live in a master-planned community, as opposed to just a neighborhood,” said Beth Henderson. “We want to start a family one day, and the idea of having a brand-new Katy ISD school so close to Elyson was a huge draw.”
The Hendersons purchased a new Highland home in Elyson and will move in early next year.
The Dural family selected a new Perry home in Elyson, and plans to move in next month.
“We feel like you can’t go wrong with Newland,” said Michael Dural. “We both grew up in Katy, and we saw what a terrific job they did with Cinco Ranch. The more we researched Newland, we knew that Elyson would be our new home.”
At Grand Parkway and FM529, Elyson offers new homes priced from the mid $200,000s to $600,000s by Chesmar, Darling, David Weekley, Highland, Perry, Pulte, Trendmaker and Westin. Ten fully furnished model homes are open.
Elyson’s visitor welcome center is located inside Rorick House, the first of more than 750 acres of recreational amenities, parks, trails and natural open space planned.
