Sugar Land’s New Year’s Eve on the Square:

This event on the square attracts tens of thousands of visitors ready to ring in the new year. The special midnight countdown includes a state-of-the-art, live 3D show with a 3D sugar cube drop, along with a fireworks show. Live performers, including pogo performers, sword swallowers and aerial artists, stroll the street. The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s annual High Noon New Year’s Eve Countdown:

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is welcoming the new years with its annual High Noon Countdown Squared party. The event is holding two separate balloon and confetti drops — one at noon and another at 3 p.m. Festivitie­s include horn blowing, noisemaker­s, New Year’s hats, bubble-wrap dancing, creative art projects and live music with Tom’s Fun Band. Children’s Museum of Houston’s Rockin’ New Year’s Noon Bash:

The Children’s Museum of Houston is celebratin­g the new year with kids in mind. ARS Lyrica Houston’s New Year’s Eve Bachanalia Dinner, Concert and Gala:

ARS Lyrica Houston is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve event at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The event begins with a pre-concert dinner and is followed by a concert of cantatas written by Johann Sebastian Bach.
