QB — ERIC SCHMID, SR., THE WOODLANDS

District 12-6A’s Most Valuable Player capped a banner year in which he threw for 3,629 yards and 46 touchdowns with just four intercepti­ons, leading the Highlander­s to the Class 6A Division I final.

RB — TRELON SMITH, SR., CYPRESS RIDGE

Smith carried the Rams to the regional semifinals, running for 2,191 yards on 295 carries (7.4 yards per attempt) and 29 touchdowns, and posting three 200-yard and 300-yard games in 2016.

RB — DEONDRICK GLASS, SO., KATY

The Tigers’ latest star running back followed up on an impressive freshman year by running for 1,912 yards and 30 touchdowns. Glass had two five-touchdown games and two more with four.

WR — AL’VONTE WOODARD, JR., LAMAR

District 18-6A’s Most Valuable Player was a deep threat and a scoring machine for the Texans. Woodard averaged more than 21 yards per catch and scored multiple times in five games.

WR — KEYLON STOKES, SR., MANVEL

The Tulsa commitment was the top weapon for the area’s top offense, as the District 23-5A’s Most Valuable Player finished with six 100-yard receiving games to go with 19 total touchdowns.

WR — O’SHAE CLARK, SR., CYPRESS SPRINGS

A bright spot for the Panthers, Clark was a first-team all-state selection and unanimous all-district pick after he finished 2016 with 70 receptions for 1,736 yards and 18 touchdowns.

TE — BROCK WRIGHT, SR., CY-FAIR

A Notre Dame commitment and Under Armour All-American, Wright did most of his work blocking for run-heavy Cy-Fair, but he did average 16.4 yards per catch to go with four touchdowns.

OL — SAMUEL COSMI, SR., ATASCOCITA

Cosmi, a UH commitment, was the top lineman for a team that averaged more than 450 yards per game. The all-state pick helped lead the Eagles to the Class 6A Division I semifinals.

OL — WALKER LITTLE, SR., EPISCOPAL

Little is considered a can’t-miss prospect who committed to Stanford last week. His accolades include being an Under Armour All-American and picked to USA Today’s All-USA offensive team.

OL — BARTON CLEMENT, JR., FORT BEND MARSHALL

The standout junior was named first-team all-state after earning honorable mention accolades a year ago. He anchored a Buffaloes team that reached its second state quarterfin­al in five years.

OL — HAYDEN HOWERTON, SR., KATY

The SMU commitment was a first-team District 19-6A pick. He helped lead the way for an offense that averaged 402.4 yards per game and propelled Katy to its eighth consecutiv­e district title.

OL — AUSTIN DECULUS, SR., CY-FAIR

One of two Under Armour All-Americans for the Bobcats, Deculus was an anchor for an offense that averaged 351.5 yards per game. The LSU verbal pledge was a unanimous all-district pick.

UTL — TYLER PAGE, SR., FRIENDSWOO­D

The Mustangs’ quarterbac­k surpassed 2,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards passing for the second year in a row, posting three 300-yard rushing games and accounting for 50 touchdowns.

K — TRENT SISCO, SR., KLEIN OAK

Sisco earned District 15-6A first-team honors for the Panthers, as he converted on 39 of 43 extra-point attempts to go with six field goals. He also punted and had a long of 61 yards.
