MARY IMOGENE SCHAPER

1921-2016

Mary Imogene Schaper, born June 9, 1921, went home to be with her Lord and family Wednesday, December 21, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Charles Staten, her three husbands, George Bush, Sr., Francis Smith and Walter Schaper, sons George Bush, Jr. and John Bush, her “sister” Marguarite Pasche and her nephew Alden Kimbro.

She is survived by her daughters-in-law Randa Bush and Christine Bush, grandchildren George Bush, III, Cheryl Ross and husband Richmond, Staten Bush, David Bush and wife Dawn, Miranda and Emma Bush and great grandchildren Krystle Murillo, Taylor, Lane and Jacob Bush, Richie Ross, nieces Peggy Kimbro and Angela Kimbro and nephew Norman Pasche and his wife Donna and many other loving family members.

We want to say a special thanks to Gerrie, Sabrina, Danelle, Pat, Robert and all the others at Greatwood Retirement Community who were so kind to her through the years. Thanks to Dr. Ivan Mefford, Dr. James McClamrock, Olga and Carla for all their care and concern. And thanks to Jo Van Slyke, Doro- thy Stroud, Sarah Harper and Margie Booker for their special friendship over the last ten years.

“Mo” as she was known by her family, had a strong faith in God and a strong love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held Monday, December 26, from 5:00-7:00 p.m at SettegestKopf Co. Funeral Directors @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX. A memorial service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 400 Jackson Street, Richmond, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John’s UMC.
