2016 was quite a year for high-profile weddings, births and splits.
1. Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis: The Yankees legend sure took his time on this one. Jeter finally tied the knot at age 42, marrying the Sports Illustrated model, whom he’d been dating since August 2013. 2. Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley: The “Suicide Squad” actress went stealth, carrying out secret nuptials in Australia this December. She later confirmed she had, indeed, married her longtime boyfriend in an Instagram post. 3. Anna Camp and Skylar Astin: The “Pitch Perfect” pair met on the aca-dorable movie’s set, but it wasn’t until after Camp separated from her first husband that they became an item in 2013. 4. Russell Wilson and Ciara: They made headlines when NFL heavyweight Wilson publicly stated he wanted to remain abstinent through his courtship with the R&B songstress. Not long after exchanging vows in July, they had a new announcement: baby on the way. 5. Shawn Johnson and Andrew East: Former Olympic gymnast Johnson is all grown up — even if she’s only 4-foot-11. The gold medalist and “Dancing With the Stars” alum married the free-agent football player in April. 6. Eva Longoria and José Bastón: Longoria wore a gown designed by her friend Victoria Beckham for her small yet star-studded spring wedding. This is Longoria’s third marriage and Bastón’s second. 7. Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson: The world’s best swimmer and the former Miss California had a rocky road to happily ever after. They spent eight years riding the on-again-off-again wave before Phelps proposed in 2015. The couple married shortly after Phelps’ final Olympics. 8. Zosia Mamet and Evan Jonigkeit: The “Girls” actress married her longtime boyfriend in October. The couple met while acting in a play together and dated for three-and-a-half years before tying the knot in a rustic, upstate New York ceremony. 9. Misty Copeland and Olu Evans: After a yearlong engagement, New York’s prima ballerina married her longtime beau in Laguna Beach, Calif., over the summer. Wearing Christian Louboutin shoes, Copeland said, “I do” in front of a crowd of 100. 10. Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall: The “Glee” actress made a heck of an entrance at her Moroccan wedding to the Mumford & Sons banjoist. Wearing a Valentino gown, Agron made her way down the aisle on the back of a camel.
