He was an athlete and played basketball and a season at semi-pro baseball and became an excellent golfer years later. He met Mary Frances when he was 17 and she was 15 and it was love at first sight. They were devoted to each other for 68 years of marriage. Dick had a long and successful career with Tennessee Gas Pipeline, then Tenneco, and was transferred to Houston in 1956. He loved music, especially the Big Band era, and could play a mean boogie-woogie on the piano. Dick will be remembered by his family and many friends for his loving supportive nature and his wonderful sense of humor. The family will gather privately at a later date to celebrate Dick’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Breckinridge Scholarship Endowment Fund for Morehead State University Foundation, 150 University Blvd., Box 1887, Morehead, KY 40351
