Miss Morgan Analise Ray Haenchen Weds Mr. Keller Thomas Akin

Miss Morgan Analise Ray Haenchen and Mr. Keller Thomas Akin were united in marriage on December 31, 2016 at Brenner’s on the Bayou in Houston, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s sister, Rev. Carolyn Davis. A solo violinst, Amy Billas, played during the ceremony. At the reception, music was provided by skillful Will Carter Band. Centerpiec­es, beautifull­y arranged by David Brown Flowers, were “Ferrari” red amaryllis, ”Black Baccara” roses and purple orchids from Thailand.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. Mark S. (“Frost”) Haenchen and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Choules of Houston.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Akin of Houston and Ms. Candace Akin of San Antonio.

The bride wore a 2016 couture gown designed by Carolina Herrera of New York. The gown of ivory silk mikado featured a deep V-neck natural waisted fitted bodice. The full A-line skirt, with pockets and buttons down low back, fell into a soft circular chapel train. The gown was complement­ed by a custom made cathedral veil trimmed in diamonds. The bride’s bouquet was a combinatio­n of natural silver berzillia, lavender roses, burgundy scabiosa and burgundy dahlias.

Serving as Maid of Honor was Catherine Davis. Bridesmaid­s were Emma Bellmor, Barkley Bryant, Marguerite Mott, Courtney Gauthreaux, Lauren Herb and Corinne Kuehl. Serving as Best Man was the groom’s brother, Jackson Akin. Groomsmen included the bride’s brothers, Jackson Haenchen and Alex Choules, and Clarke Bynum, Ryan Kristek, Spenser Riebschlag­er and Alan Stevens.

Morgan graduated from University of TexasAusti­n in 2012 and will graduate from South Texas College of Law-Houston in May, 2017.

Keller graduated from Texas State University in 2012 and is currently head tennis coach and geography teacher at Clear Falls High School.

Following a honeymoon to London, Paris and Rome, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
