Hillwood Communities announces Camp Pomona’s debut
Pomona, Hillwood Communities’ 1,000-acre Live Smart residential community in Manvel, announced the grand opening of Camp Pomona.
Camp Pomona is the latest amenity to be completed in the first phase of development.
The camp features two resort-style pools and furniture, nine cabanas, a state-of-the-art “exploration zone” and an event lawn that overlooks the bayou, serving as a gathering place for residents.
“We hope that Camp Pomona will be an important part of the Pomona community and become a place for all residents to come together,” said Russ Bynum, general manager for Pomona.
In addition to Camp Pomona, residents have been enjoying the Fish Camp that opened last summer with a stocked 5-acre lake, pier and fishing hut with seating. Pomona’s on-site lifestyle manager offers activities and gathering opportunities year round for residents to enjoy.
Children living in Pomona will attend Alvin ISD’s Duke Elementary, Rodeo Palms Junior High and Shadow Creek High. Anew on-site elementary, in walking distance for younger children, is under construction and will open this fall.
