Terry L. Richardson passed away Wednesday, the 15th of February 2017. Terry was born on the 9th of June 1954, to Ellis William Richardson and Jeanne Warren Richardson in Corpus Christi, Texas. Terry graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1972. He excelled at sports and was the quarterbac­k for the Tuloso-Midway Warriors. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1976 with a B.B.A. in Petroleum Land Management. Terry was a member of the Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma and proudly served as Chapter President.

Terry began his career in the oil and gas industry working for his mentor, H.T. “Hop” Nolan. Initially, Terry worked in Corpus Christi. Later he helped start the Houston branch of Oil and Gas Reserves. He was a partner in Richardson-Hill Oil and Gas for many years and ultimately founded and ran Richardson Oil and Gas, Inc. Terry loved working as an oil and gas landman and telling stories of his many adventures with landowners.

While his children were growing up, Terry was active in Post Oak Little League where he served as a coach and the board member in charge of fields and facilities. He was passionate about The University of Texas Longhorns and was a member of The Chancellor’s Council and The Littlefiel­d Society. He remained actively involved as an alumnus of the Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma and was found at many alumni gatherings. Terry was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Terry was predecease­d by his parents. He is survived by daughter, Blair Richardson Loocke and husband Bryan, and by son, William Cooley Richardson and wife Annie. Terry is also survived by his beloved grandchild­ren, Mary Allen and Wells Loocke; and the mother of his children, Suzann Cooley Richardson.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many friends who cared for Terry during his life.

A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 23rd of February, in the Sanctuary of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer in Houston.

Immediatel­y following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent Fellowship Hall.

At a later date, Terry will be buried near his parents at the Greenwood Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.
