MARGARET ELIZABETH WEST

1939-2017

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of a loving woman. Margaret Elizabeth West, age 77, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in Katy Texas.

Ms. West was a native Houstonian and graduate of San Jacinto High School. She was an avid reader, art collector and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her father, Joseph J. Johnson, Jr.; mother, Edna Earle Kerr Johnson; brother, Joseph J. Johnson III and sister, Carole A. Johnson Flynn.

Ms. West is survived by her sisters, Elaine Johnson and her husband, Dennis McAndrews, Patricia Jard and her husband, James, and brother, Roy F. Johnson and his wife Andrea, brother-inlaw, Pat Flynn, sister-in-law, Darla Jones and uncle Pat Johnson, sons, Jerry C. West and his wife Sue Ann; Kevin P. West and his wife Vicki. Grandchildren: Katharine M. West, Matthew J. West, and Hannah M. West, Jeremiah J. West, Sr. and his wife Rachel Gray, Christine J. Patel and her husband Niraj P. Patel, Mary E. Tilton and her husband Jeff Tilton, Jr. Great-Grandchildren: Jordan M. West and Jeremiah J. West, Jr.; Noah Patel, Eva Patel and Leela Patel. Step Grandchildren: Kyle A. Ezell and Analysse N. Ezell, special friends Erin J. West and Stephen W. West and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 24th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas.
